The ASD Central Office designed by Istanbul based Batur and Batur Architecture is reflecting a transparent, collective and global working culture. Its main purpose is to serve as a prestigious showroom where the company’s products are exhibited. But it is a lot more than just a showroom. The main reason for the new office building was to provide a more comfortable and enjoyable workspace for the employees of the client company. The interior design has been created in such a way to greet the visitors in a prestigious place, something that inspires confidence in the quality of service that the company will provide to their future clients.
ASD Forest Products who has been working for exporting products for many years and has been in business cooperations with various countries in Europe, decided to move its headquarters to create a more comfortable space for the employees and to welcome their guests to a more prestigious place. Interior design project of the office was handled by Batur and Batur Architecture to create a prestigious, transparent, comfortable and social working environment.
The design process which is shaped by the corporate colors of the company, each department is planned as an ‘open office’ in itself. A colorful atmosphere is created with selected colored puffs and flexible mobility is ensured. In the entrance section, naturalness is anticipated with a marble wall with bookmatch. The flattened feeling that can be caused by the low height of the building aimed to eliminated with a linear ceiling system.
The wall coverings and furnitures were made of laminate, MDF laminate and all the moving and fixed furnitures are owned current products of ASD. By means of these, the office environment was transformed into a natural showroom.
Batur and Batur Architecture gave importance to use products that are suitable for acoustic criteria and intensive use in floor coverings. They used extra devices for providing fresh and conditioned air to improve work comfort in the office. Ergonomics is of special importance in work tables and seating groups, curtains and interim separators have been used to prevent noise pollution due to the open office system and intensive telephone calls in the ‘sales and marketing’ department. Energy efficiency has been considered in all products selected for lighting.
In the meeting room, a wall panel displaying new products for participating business connections is placed. For more functional usage, the storage unit in which the materials are located, also used as a writing pad with a sliding mechanism. In the CEO’s office, the outside view was used effectively. Pleasant chat environment created by the help of comfortable seating groups in business meetings.
