Leaving Paris for a weekend. Everyone dreams of it, but sometimes ideas are lacking. No need to go to the Bassin d’Arcachon or the Côte d’Azur for a change of scenery. Less than two hours from the capital, several hotels, bed and breakfasts, and lodges tick all the boxes for getting away from it all, enjoying the countryside, and relaxing.
Absolute favorite for this cabin in the woods far from being rustic. The Casa Rosalie cottage offers three eco-responsible and elegantly decorated houses where to disconnect in a small wood of Perche.
On the 2.7-hectare estate bought by former Parisians Bertrand L’huillier and Anne-Christelle Roussel just before the Covid-19 epidemic, there is a small lake, as well as the Slow, Friendly, and Moon casas, of a capacity ranging from 2 to 7 people. All of them offer a breathtaking view of the forest that shelters them with the help of large bay windows lining the walls of the cabins. These let in the light of daybreak to wake up gently without exposing its inhabitants since the casas are far away.
La Casa Slow, the most remote of all, even has its own private swimming pool heated all year round. And if the wind blows too much outside, or if the rain from capricious weather falls, it is possible to take a hot bath in the splendid bathroom which overlooks a more intimate part of the woods. Here, time stands still and the sounds of nature soothe.
When it comes to swimming, the other huts are not without rest. The Casa Friendly also has its own small private swimming pool, while travelers from the Casa Moon have privileged access to the Nordic bath, heated to 40°C over a wood fire that overlooks the lake.
