Take a Walk in This Small But Perfectly-Formed Family Home in South London

The story about how this home came into the family-friendly home it is now is just inspiring. Owners of this London home stretched themselves to buy a small and dark former rental. Suddenly,  in the last minute, they changed their minds. Tapping into their creativity now this is the result – a family-friendly home that is full of charms.

The couple got stuck into decorating and thankfully had a unified vision for their home. One thing these people knew was that they wanted things to feel natural and understated. It was nothing about clashing colors nor blingy things. Going for the minimal and modern, followed by subtle shades with a backdrop of whites and grey they managed to get to some influences. Scandinavian and Japanese influences, because of their life partly spent in Japan, so we guess that the white and bright thing is totally the other mix.

So many renovations followed, replacing the small leaded windows with bigger sash windows for more light. Then the couple also painted the house to cover up any uneven brickwork from the previous renovations. Even the furniture in the first few years was dark. Just like the large sofa they originally bought for the old flat, but now, everything makes sense and is in the right place. There is no such thing as failure if you are ready to make a serious change!

Now step into this wonderful home and enjoy the stunning space & atmosphere.
