Charming whiteness, a combination of modern and classic elements and the minimum amount of furniture, are the main features of Scandinavian interiors. The main driver of this style is the desire for maximum utilization of light. In all countries that have a long winter and a little sunshine, the home is a place where they spend most of their time and for this reason must be arranged airy, comfortable and warm. The use of light in the Scandinavian interiors is the main generator of this style.

Most Scandinavian homes contain natural tones, natural materials and minimal ornamentation. White walls and flooring in all rooms except the bathrooms are the golden rule of Scandinavian design. In order to attract to your space more light and to live by Scandinavian standards, you need to use different tones in white, beige and gray. Pallet of color tones is based on all shades of white, from pure white to beige in combination with natural and light wood.

On the white base you need to add details with pastel colors such as mint, light blue and yellow. These colors are consistent with bright interior and therefore are often used for details in the room, such as pillows, modern chandelier or wall paintings.  In Scandinavian interiors there is no overcrowding with unnecessary elements. The furniture is simple with clean lines but with great design. When buying furniture, let your inspiration be the design of the fifties of the last century.
