Not always means that bigger is better. Prove for that is this amazing studio apartment which occupies 16 sqm. It is one old bathroom transformed into amazingly comfortable studio. This living area is located in Paris and it is made by Marc Baillargeon and Julie Nabucet.
From the Architect: Bringing all the activities and the comfort of an apartment in an old bathroom: this was the challenge of this project for a student. The implementation of a platform has enabled us to create living space using the surface for kitchen and bathroom, and the underside as a means of modulating the living room. Indeed, the bed can be fully extended to a sleeping area, or half hidden under the platform to form the foundation of a room, or completely embedded in the platform, to allow the free volume. Carpentry, custom, allows us to offer a planning office, closed storage used headboard, and a bar that marks a separation from the ponds.
Materials that are used: wood, concrete, glass, the steel.
