When Rio de Janeiro-based architect Leila Dionizios was enlisted to design the 450-square-meter Paris residence of a young family, she was tasked with executing a clean, modern aesthetic that harmonized with the existing classical boiserie wood paneling in the home. By painting the walls a light color and incorporating minimalist lines through furniture, rugs, and curtains, she achieved a relaxed and inviting atmosphere without compromising luxury.
Integral to the design scheme is contemporary pendant lighting from SONNEMAN–A Way of Light. Capitalizing on the home’s impressive high ceilings, the Corona Pendant creates a circular profile of light in the living room. Its warm ringed glow of LED illumination provides both the presence and the absence of volume, contributing to vertical balance while maintaining an uncluttered appearance.
In the dining room, the Grapes Pendant features a cluster of luminous LED spheres, allowing it to serve as a dazzling statement piece during family dinners or while entertaining guests. Positioned over the table, Grapes radiates diffused, omnidirectional illumination.
