Milan Furniture Fair 2023: novelties and trends spotted

Until April 23, the Salone del Mobile 2023  in Milan brings together all the players in the design sphere. From the Fiera Milano exhibition center to the heart of the Lombard capital with the Fuorisalone, designers, architects, cult brands, and young premieres invite professionals and curious visitors alike to discover their novelties exhibited within fascinating scenographies. An invitation to capture the spirit of the times and get to know the trends of tomorrow…

Light on luminaires with Euroluce

In the radius of new products not to be missed: luminaires with a minimalist aesthetic and exacerbated functionality. After four years of absence, Euroluce, the exhibition dedicated to lighting, returns and highlights the best of technological innovation. Smarter than ever, luminaires adapt to the challenges of the moment. Connected, respectful of the environment, and necessarily force of proposal to participate in the decoration, to create a precise atmosphere, the proposed lamps compete in forms and inventiveness.

The trend continues to favor models that are easy to integrate and move, and this feeds the idea of a house that is constantly in motion. Note in particular the Diatomea table lamp by Martinelli Luce or the sublime Ceramic in lacquered finish by Ronan Bouroullec for Flos. We will have fun with the playful Bilboquet by Philippe Malouin also at Flos. Finally, we admired the first creations of the young French brand Kira launched by Roman Akira Frankel, an architect of Japanese origin, and in priority its sculptural and attractive Kobe wall lamp.

Curves are always a must indoors

Since the pandemic episode, the universe of the house seems to demand less rigor and more comfort. Requests that designers express by using more curves than ever before in their various compositions. Upcoming seating still serves as the best piece of furniture to convey this trend. The curve sits majestically on the modernist Esquisses stool by Faye Toogood for Maison Matisse, the soft Duo sofa by Roberto Lazzeroni for Poltrona Frau and the totally pop Bombom table by Joana Vasconcelos for Roche Bobois.
