Behind the beautiful gates of the capital, in certain streets, are hidden houses with gardens unsuspected by residents. This 19th century house is typical of those well-kept secrets of Paris and its thoroughfares. The premises had not been renovated since the 70s. The house was in its juice at all levels. On the technical level first with the old electricity and plumbing and on the development level with a distribution of rooms poorly adapted to modern life. This beautiful red brick building has long housed a very large family and has been divided accordingly with small studios on the upper floors and the ground floor a series of closed rooms hosting a living room, kitchen, and closed office. The staircase was also partitioned and distributed the floors like an old Parisian building.
The new owners of the place left a bright apartment completely renovated and located on the top floor. Although conquered by the invaluable surface offered by this house of character, in total 260 m 2, the couple feared a lack of light that would have prevented them from fully enjoying the exceptional spaces of the house. The whole challenge of the renovation orchestrated by the architect Dario Mucedda consisted in finding light and multiplying it in the heart of living rooms completely open to each other. To respond to this problem, the architect has completely revised the layout of the ground floor. Open was the keyword of his work. An opening of the rooms on each other which allowed the light coming from the precious and beautiful glass roof on the ground floor to spread efficiently and guarantee fluidity in the space. A feeling reinforced by the many skills of the interior designer. The professional has worked the space as a whole a modern family house that has carefully preserved the character of the old.
