Created by architect Sergey Makhno, Jack’s House is a lovely contemporary residence located in Kiev, Ukraine. The project was achieved using a limited budget of $100,000. It consists of two structures with similar sizes and is an excellent example of a home that can be built with a limited budget.
The house features two levels, from which the ground floor holds the living room with a fireplace, a bath and a kitchen while the second floor houses two bedrooms, a library and a bathroom.
Surrounding the 1,130 sq ft residence is a nice garden and barbecue area.

From the architects: “Ukraine based architect Serghii Makhno have completed a weekend budget house in Kiev region. The main thing in this project is that this house was built with small budget in 100 000 dollars but as a result the client received modern minimalistic home with garden and barbecue arbour.
In general, physical form of building is divided into two parts with similar shapes and sizes The first cube facade is revetted with plaster embroidered in the form of squares and second is decorated with clad in black-painted wooden panels with horizontal line structure. Transparent glass windows at front wall house offer green view of the garden, House has 105 sqm and held in a mixture of wood and concrete.
This house has two floors The ground floor presents living room with big concrete fireplace, kitchen and bath built in the earth and second floor has two bedrooms, toilet room and library.”
