In the heart of the Arán Valley, this cabin with privileged views now has the original wood, a spectacular fireplace, light, and beautiful colors.
To buy a cabin in the mountains that would serve as a real refuge for two, but also cozy for visits from friends and family is EVERYTHING! The greatest success was the couple’s insistence on preserving the wood that wrapped the entire house, so they painstakingly restored the original color to the pine beams while demolishing and making way for light and better distribution. Throughout the house, we see very comfortable corners, created with love to snuggle up to enjoy the beautiful landscape. Blankets, furs, and warm textiles, with wool and mohair for cushions and upholstery, embrace them. Here winter will be a pleasure.
Mountain home for their winter getaways!
The decorator was chosen to shape the dream of this couple and the three managed to understand each other perfectly. For her, being able to recover the appearance of the original wood was the key to success.
The fireplace is the only piece that was preserved because that fire that is divided into two living areas is ideal. The fire shelters in the living room and in the dining room.
Before, there were only dirty layers here and also very poorly varnished.
The kitchen is open, very practical and comfortable for when the family comes (or to have breakfast both at the bar) and designed to integrate, with wooden paneled furniture, but with the crockery and glassware insight.
The rustic charm is achieved with colors that match the wood: beige, gray, and a special garnet. The winter table, better if it is decorated with a linen tablecloth, pine cones, and branches of the forest.
Who wouldn’t want to enjoy lunch or dinner in such a warm haven?
The large glass on the railing of the attic is marvelous! That’s one impressive transparent wall of the bedroom.
The master bedroom has its own en-suite bathroom, accessed by going under the spectacular original beams.
The bedroom houses a charming corner from which to write while looking at the snow. POSTCARDThe house seen from the outside, with the Pyrenees in the background and the snow flooding everything.
