1. Put sand in the ashtray
A trick that will significantly reduce the smell of tobacco at home is sand. If you have cats, you can use whatever cat litter you have. You can put it inside the ashtray you use before or after smoking. We love this trick because it’s so easy, yet effective. Get used to doing it and you will win.
2. Coffee beans
Coffee is a food that has a powerful and characteristic odor. If you are one of those who love its taste -and smell- use it to remove the smell of tobacco from home. To do this, you just have to fill a small bowl or container with water and add enough coffee beans. Then it’s time to deposit this bowl in the areas where people smoke the most and change its content once a week. And ready!
3. Use essential oils
Another of our favorite tricks to get rid of and camouflage the smell of tobacco in your house are essential oils. There are all kinds of scents and you can use them in many ways and all of them are equally effective. To remove the smell of tobacco from the air, pour four cups of water into a decorative bowl or vase. Then add 20 drops of your favorite essential oil. Place the decorative bowl, pitcher, or vase in a room where the smell of smoke is strong and you’ll see how it hides.
4. Use Incense
Burning incense is an activity that many people find relaxing. In addition to inviting you to relax, it also neutralizes odors very well. Turning it on a couple of times a day will be enough! The most effective is the one that smells of thyme or eucalyptus. Other homemade air fresheners also work, although they camouflage it rather than eliminate the smell of tobacco.
