Easy to apply and maintain, the resin paint is used to refresh a wall tile or a tiled floor, both in the kitchen and in the bathroom.
Resin is a product of natural and synthetic fibres. Depending on its appearance, liquid or harder, it does not have the same ambitions. It will come to rest on different surfaces for different purposes. It is therefore used to protect tiles on walls and floors. Its presence gives a shinier appearance and makes the surface non-slip.
The most commonly used type of resin is epoxy resin. This type of resin allows a wide range of colours thanks to the pigments added to the solution. It is valued for its great resilience and stout character. It is of course more desirable to clad the floors of the house.
The resin is generally in the form of two liquids that need to be mixed in the right amount. The resin and hardener must be mixed in strict accordance with the instructions on the products. Once the mixture is made, the preparation must be swirled around like a classic paint before starting the application.
Applying the resin to the tiles on the floor or walls is done with a foam roller. Not very original for this mission because for a wall to be painted it is enough to apply the first layer of resin on the cleaned surface. Depending on the room temperature, it sometimes takes up to 24 hours for the second top coat to be applied, a step aimed at making the surface matt or glossy depending on the choice of the base resin
