House in Elie by WT Architecture

WT Architecture have designed a House in Elie which is a minimalist residence situated in Elie in the historic country of Fife in Scotland. The project is basically a replacement of a clunky bungalow dating to the 1970’s in the harbor town of Elie.
The 2,960 sq ft residence is designed to make the most of the breathtaking views towards the coastal lighthouse. It consists of two wings with a glass connector for an entrance. The main wing is the center of an open plan living and dining area connected to the kitchen while the other wing contains a game room and a sleeping loft.

From the architects: “We were the Architects for this new house, which replaces an existing bungalow above a golden sandy beach on the Fife coast. The building is designed to make the most of the views towards the coastal lighthouse and across the Firth of Forth. An open plan living space links the two storey main house to the smaller bothy accommodation. Completed in Summer 2014.”
