GREEN ON THE LIVING ROOM WALLS
When you want to add color to your decor, the first thing you think of is the walls. Paint, wallpaper … Green is featured in many wall coverings. A few years ago – we think – apple green was in the spotlight. We had painted entire walls in flashy green to bring pep and dynamism to our decor. Now we go more calmly, thanks to vegetable tones. Nature is at the center of the inspiration of the moment, so we find water greens or mint greens for a Scandinavian interior full of softness. We can also start with more sustained tones that will directly refer to the green of plants with chlorophyll green.
GREEN IN LIVING ROOM FURNITURE
If putting green on the walls scares you, you can color your furniture. Now the sofa is no longer necessarily black, gray, or taupe. It may very well be green. We love green velvet sofas, which are both warm and elegant. The coffee table can be repainted in green, the TV cabinet too. If you have a bookcase, it can stand out with a good paint job… Green goes very well with white and gray for a contemporary interior. If you are more classic and natural, a beige or a very light taupe will bring out the green of your furniture without a problem.
GREEN IN LIVING ROOM TEXTILES
Like the bedroom, the living room is characterized by the great importance of decorative textiles. They are found among others in sofa and armchair covers, in cushion covers, throws. Let’s not forget the curtains and/or blinds on the windows or the carpet under your coffee table. Green can therefore be one of the colors that make up your decorative textiles. We already talked about it on the blog, exotic prints are trendy and they allow you to create a green atmosphere throughout the house. The living room does not cut it!
