This elegant apartment, designed for a young couple with a distinct vision and impeccable style, showcases a tranquil color palette accented by bold contemporary art. Architect Ariana Ahmad led the comprehensive redesign of this 90 m² space, enhancing both functionality and aesthetic appeal while seamlessly integrating original modern artworks.
The project involved a complete overhaul, reimagining every corner of the apartment. Architect Ariana Ahmad transformed the entryway, storage closet, living and dining areas, kitchen, master suite with an ensuite bathroom and walk-in closet, guest bathroom with a laundry area, and a study. A notable feature of the redesign is the expanded living room, achieved by incorporating the loggia, which brightens the space with an abundance of windows.
Ariana Ahmad’s expertise is evident in the meticulous planning of utility areas and storage solutions. For instance, the kitchen features a custom niche for a refrigerator over 90 cm wide, seamlessly blending into the overall design. In the guest bathroom, niches were designed for the washing machine, and the laundry area is cleverly concealed behind a curtain.
The owners’ preference for contrasting light and dark tones, along with cool and blue shades, is reflected throughout the apartment. The interior is anchored in sophisticated grey-blue hues, with striking dark grey kitchen fronts by Valcucine, complemented by frosted glass elements.
Incorporating their love for yoga and nature, Ariana Ahmad used noble natural materials in the finishing touches. Large windows with low sills, clad in wood, create a cozy ambiance. Each windowsill serves as a seating area, providing panoramic views and enhancing the overall atmosphere.
Ariana Ahmad’s attention to detail extends to lighting, which is carefully tailored to each room’s usage scenarios. Special lighting in the bathrooms highlights the expressive texture of ceramic granite and Salvatori marble, adding depth and sophistication.
“Every piece in this apartment was chosen with great care, from furniture to fabrics and decor,” says Ariana. The bedroom features the elegant Dudet chair by Patricia Urquiola for Cassina, a minimalist vanity table from Living Divani, and wallpaper made of rapidly renewable abaca fibers from Phillip Jeffries. The living room is adorned with a polyptych from the “Tablets of Happiness” series by artist Asya Feoktistova, infusing the space with vibrant art and character.
The completed apartment exemplifies a harmonious blend of functionality and artistic expression. Architect Ariana Ahmad has crafted a space that not only meets the practical needs of the owners but also serves as a serene retreat. The integration of vibrant art adds warmth and individuality, reflecting the owners’ tastes and lifestyle.
