  • Project: Modern Living

  • Year: 2024
  • Area: 90 m2

Designed by acclaimed architect Ariana Ahmad, this stunning Moscow apartment redefines the concept of modern living in Moscow, where architectural precision meets artistic soul. Captured through the lens of Mikhail Loskutov and styled by Natalia Onufreichuk, the residence embodies serene elegance with a personal touch.

A Complete Redesign for Urban Comfort

Commissioned by a young couple with a distinct taste, the 90 m² apartment underwent a full transformation. Ariana Ahmad reimagined the entire layout—from the entryway and kitchen to the master suite, guest bathroom, and study—ensuring every square meter serves a purpose. The living room was expanded by merging it with the loggia, welcoming more daylight and creating a fluid, open living space.

A Palette of Harmony and Depth

Guided by the clients’ affinity for contrast and cool tones, the interior features a calming grey-blue color scheme. The kitchen stands out with dark grey fronts from Valcucine, paired with frosted glass and sleek fittings. Custom niches integrate bulky appliances effortlessly, from a wide refrigerator in the kitchen to a washer-dryer discreetly tucked behind curtains in the guest bath.

Nature-Inspired Materials and Relaxation Zones

Drawing inspiration from the owner’s yoga practice and love of nature, Ahmad infused the space with warm, tactile materials. Wood-clad windows with low sills double as cozy seating spots with panoramic city views. These thoughtful details contribute to a sense of peace and rootedness throughout the apartment.

Light as an Architectural Element

Lighting was designed for every functional and emotional scenario. Soft lighting in the bathrooms enhances the textures of ceramic granite and the luxurious Salvatori marble. Each light fixture was chosen to complement the space while subtly enhancing the material palette.

Furnishings that Reflect Personality

Each piece in the apartment tells a story. In the bedroom, the Dudet chair by Patricia Urquiola for Cassina sits alongside a minimalist Living Divani vanity, paired with eco-friendly abaca wallpaper from Phillip Jeffries. The living room’s focal point is a vibrant multi-panel artwork from the “Tablets of Happiness” series by Asya Feoktistova, infusing energy and color into the refined space.

A True Reflection of Modern Moscow Living

This apartment is more than a home—it’s a curated lifestyle. With her signature blend of precision and personal storytelling, Ariana Ahmad has created a refined sanctuary in the heart of Moscow. The design masterfully bridges functionality with artistic character, showcasing the best of modern living in Moscow.
