What happens when your home has seven centuries behind it? When it has been a convent! Or even the summer residence of King Alfonso XIII.
The house we are entering today has 700 years of history, has undergone two renovations, and has the Mediterranean Sea as its main source of inspiration. A resume capable of impressing anyone. But
its owner did not feel intimidated at all. It’s true: little did he know that he would end up living in a 14th-century convent. But falling in love was stronger.
Who wouldn’t fall in love with this terrace overlooking the Mediterranean Sea and a wonderful infinity pool?
This little corner, in the shade of a tree and with views of the sea and the Garraf natural park, invites you to have long summer after-hours.
The house is rented for private events and it is dominated by noble woods, linen, hemp, and natural textures.
Its owner wanted a house that was “cheerful, light and clear, that breathed peace”. And, indeed, peace is assured by the sound of the waves in the background, to which is added the crackling of the wood in the fireplace during winter.
The kitchen also has this pleasant office, with a table and cupboard designed by the interior designer herself.
The kitchen is liked even by those who feel like little kitchens.
The bathroom furniture in the children’s room is designed by the decorator. The screen lets in light but guarantees privacy.
In the master bedroom, they combined two different wallpaper designs to make it less heavy.
An open partition gives way to being already a small work area. The light of the Mediterranean floods all the rooms of the room.
