F-House by ARCH 4

The F-House is a stunningly luxurious modern dwelling designed by Russian studio ARCH 4. The home is located on the outskirts of Moscow, Russia, on a plot in direct contact with nature. The modern design of the home does a great job at hiding its actual size and making it blend in with its surroundings. On the interior side of things, the F-house is laden with features and facilities that will make you drool.

The house is 1,800 square meters spread-eagle on the site, but does not look flat and squat due to a considerable height floor (4 m) and found remarkably “slitting” of facades. The fact, that the horizontal division, given the masonry brick and lath wood finish, interrupted by the strong vertical accents – modules windows and openings, chimney, wooden columns.

This vertical direction of facade elements gives the building a light and some recognizable elegance – like the one that created the portico and french windows of the old town villas.

The floor plan consists of a main central core with two wings. Contained within the two story central core are bedrooms, living room, library and classrooms. The right (east) wing is a swimming pool and winter garden, while the left wing is a stand alone dwelling unit with living room, bedroom and bathroom. All the basic functions are placed at ground level, and the variations of surfaces also helps to identify the uses within the building.
