The spacious high ceiling space within the existing building has inspired the designers to fit inside with self-defined height of clinic rooms that are identical flying boxes within the space. These boxes are a showcase of dental rooms and with gradient glassed facade design they enable privacy.
Considering existing buildings wide openings at the ground floor, the boxes are located in the front façade act as a display window exhibiting the dental identity of place publicly.
One of the creative thoughts of design has been to plan out a generic dental examination room unit with a spectacular language that will mark Derya Dental’s identity and corporate language. As the dental examination rooms are the main spine and the production area of a dental clinic; as designers we did not hesitate to place them as a gemstone to the both sides of entrance and welcome the visitors in through them.
Having 110 sqm of total clinic space the service areas are kept minimalistic and located in the peripheries of the plan leaving the public spaces of the clinics a rather spacious area. Entering the clinic, the reception desk designed within the wall completes the language with its curvy openings. This simple yet outstanding character of the openings are repeated around the walls of the lounge area embracing the public spaces.
The Instagram corner, the kitchenette and the access to private areas with hidden door openings give a continuous sensation to the interior facades of the clinic space. While embracing the lounge area this interior façade hosts for facilities. The lounge area is rather simple yet effective with iconic armchairs that are solitarily placed. In the middle of the lounge area the coffee tables are designed as mini exhibition units that exhibit dental equipment produced by the brand. Visitors can experience these products just as if they are in a dental museum.
The design of the dental rooms are designed out to be like capsules inside the clinic with explicit doors for openings to the cubes. The rounded corners of design bring a smooth quality and touch lightly to the floor. The materiality on the floor changes around the boxes emphasizing their particular shape. The entrance hallway is marked with this change in the floor leaving a defined space for self-standing semitransparent exhibition units. The lighting elements are creatively chosen according to the nature of the design; just like the star-like mini spots inside the examination rooms.
