Before you know it, 2023 is here, a year that we already know what it will bring us (at least, as far as decoration is concerned). We have spoken with three interior designers so that they can tell us what trends they predict for the coming months. What style will we feel a predilection for? What colours or materials will be the favourites? What designs will take over the decoration?
EARTH COLORS WILL BE A TREND IN 2023
It is one of the clearest trends. In 2023, the range of earth colours (from beige to brown, through tiles and copper) will be the preferred palette when decorating our homes. Brown, smoked, mole, cinnamon, coffee, mink, paprika, cognac, caldera. These are tones that inspire warmth and authenticity. And to find contrast, touches of Klein blue.
TEXTILES TAKE CENTER STAGE
The tendency to recreate calm and serene spaces prompted us to dress the rooms with plain textiles in very soft neutral tones. Well, it seems that something is changing (albeit in a very subtle way). Along with plain fabrics, we are going to see a progressive return to patterns in both curtains and cushions. Living rooms and bedrooms are going to be transformed thanks to fabrics that will add complexity with their textures, patterns, colours, and folds.
And what patterns will we see the most? From geometric designs to floral motifs that bring us life and closeness to nature, so necessary today.
