We start with a great classic, the guitar. It can be decorative on its own but not only! The diversions can be numerous and very decorative. This is useful when, for example, you have a cheap guitar that has twisted a bit over time. It cannot be used for making music, but it can be used for decoration.
Speaking of diverting the guitar into a decorative object, there is the possibility of removing the front of the guitar and arranging the interior with a few thin shelves. No need to think about putting all your dictionaries in there, we are left with something quite fragile. Nevertheless, some plants, some photos can quite find their place there.
Rather than storing the guitar in its bag and at the back of a cupboard, why not have it on a nice foot. It will decorate your living room, for example, and its presence will remind you to free yourself up a little time every day to play. More effective than a reminder on the schedule!
Alone or accompanied, the guitar hanging on the wall is a strong message: “Here we love music”. Personally, even if I like music a lot, I won’t hang a guitar on the wall since neither Flo nor I play it. It doesn’t seem very legitimate to me …
So far, I have spoken of dry guitar, a little more versatile than the electric guitar. Here it is more the amps that will decorate but the contrasts in quantity may be interesting to work on. (Lots of amps, one guitar). Mixing amp sizes, models and colors can be really eye-catching, especially if you like maximalism.
The ukulele for small spaces is an alternative to the drywall guitar. Personally, in my eyes and especially in my ears, the ukulele is an instrument that came straight from hell. This is explained because it is easily transportable and people think that on vacation or traveling, they have the right to massacre pieces of music with their voice and their instrument that does not sound right. Suffice to say that instrument, I prefer to see it hanging on a wall as decoration than in the hands of a stranger.
The piano is less accessible than the guitar. This is probably valid for someone who is starting to play as a decoration. The piano is significantly larger than a guitar. you must therefore have enough space at home to accommodate it, even if it is not a grand piano. (And ideally, you should also have friends who are not too heavy who will not rush to hit the keys to make noise …)
Simple and classic, the wooden piano warms the room. If you’re a fan of sobriety, great.
This is probably the version that I like the most … I find that putting color on the piano makes it even more cheerful. It’s an invitation to play catchy songs. I really like pianos with light colors, they make the instrument less imposing and more contemporary.
You have to be daring, you also need to have enough space, but you can turn the grand piano upside down and turn it into a bookcase. This is a change from classic libraries which are generally very straight and strict. With a piano, it’s more fanciful.
Like the sideboard, the piano offers you a nice flat and high surface that is easy to decorate. Plants, frames, mirror, table lamp… The possibilities are many and varied.
Small note: a piano, most of the time is played seated. Even if you like sober and classical pianos, nothing prevents you from choosing a slightly more original stool to place in front of your instrument: fur stool, industrial stool, stool with a more colorful coating… There are many choices, free It’s up to you to have fun or not with this element near your piano.
While preparing this article, I was not sure what to expect. I had a little idea about the guitar or the piano. I was surprised to see so many batteries diverted, revamped, transformed to invite themselves into the decoration. As with the guitar, the drums turn into a wall shelf. But that’s not all! It can be turned into a flowerpot for a large green plant. It is also possible to transform it into a wall light.
