Dark Brown & Vintage Furniture for That Rustic Nordic Touch

One of the most common variants of the Nordic style in Scandinavian homes is rustic vintage.

Dark wood furniture such as teak, cherry, walnut, or stained pine and oak are the most typical. You all have in mind the classic Danish solid teak credenzas that were so widespread in the 60s, which have never gone out of style and that is, whoever has an original from the time has a real treasure.

As you can see, the amplitude and lighting are still a priority in this type of more rustic decorations, nothing to darken the rooms, even if darker colors are used. If you look at this dining room, the dining area with that black table and the vintage metal and dark wood chairs do not make the area heavier or darker, the same as the opposite side, where we have the bookcase and the sofa, dark gray.

The mix and use of dark browns must be done with measure and mastery, leaving space for whites and above all without recharging, or eliminating natural light.

The kitchen with office, table, and chairs follow the same style as the living room with that rustic vintage touch, but the kitchen furniture mixes black light wood, and stainless steel, a risky combo, but one that works very well here.

What do you think of this vintage touch?
