One more stunning project made by the professional team of KASIA ORWAT Home Design. This amazing black & white apartment is located in Poznań. All details are well fitted and together they make a whole lovely and pleasant apartment where everyone will love to live.
KASIA ORWAT Home Design: THRIFT – was the keynote of the design of this interior. This is a good feature, especially when having a very limited budget. That motivates the designer to seek customized solutions: useful and functional, but also at a reasonable price, which is a very Poznanian skill – to get the best result from the minimal investment. But not just because of that is this apartment so Poznanian: it is so, both in terms of the interior, as well as the location and the view from the windows. The specific arrangement of the attic allowed to divide the space into two floors. On one side the wall folds at an angle of 45 degrees becoming the roof. Here two rows of windows provide constant access of light. With total freedom, the arrangement let the areas interact with each other with practically no doors. Light and functional furniture can at any time change its position.
The apartment is alive and constantly changing. Fix elements are neutral. Resin flooring in shades of gray plays with timeless white walls. As lamps, simple bulbs suspended with colored cables are used highlighting the functional areas of the apartment. The whole enviromnent creates a versatile background for appliances and furniture, exposing them to the point where even the humblest object becomes a work of art. An steel spiral-staircase connects the two levels. It is strong, structured even graphic accent that emphasizes the consistency of the ground floor. The surface of the mezzanine is increased by 4 m2 thanks to the construction of a grid. The use of glass instead of railing let the light bath the space inside and allows you to admire the promenade along the Warta river. This is what impresses in this interior the most as well as its unpretentiousness. The owners have allowed themselves to several financial excesses (such as the drop-shaped extractor hood), which are unique and give the impression of luxury even though just a few things here are exclusive. This apartment is proof that even with a limited budget you can create a beautiful and timeless interior, where it is just nice to live in. And there is where the thrift lies.
