Black Interior Doors – Do You Dare?

We say of course that yes, go ahead, if it does not go well, going back to the old color is very easy, right?

We have seen lots of projects which painted the front door very dark gray, almost black, and the rest of the house doors white.  When the original color is a wood laminate probably you won’t really like it and the look of the whole house will change completely. That’s when the black interior doors are welcomed on “the stage”.

More light, more spaciousness and visual cleanliness, more order and with the dark entrance door, a contrast point. Painting all the interiors or some more in black we never appreciated, we were tired of the contrast and what we were looking for was a total white look, so, black doors were not an option at all.

Another thing would have been if our house was an old apartment with original carpentry, that had any value, just like the apartment that we show you today. If that door is and has been that color, well, the fun and original is that it does not change or at most, it is fixed, but without losing that iota of history, that is, after all, what makes an original home, details specials like this.

The truth is that the color agrees well with the rest of the deco, the gray wall, and already seen from afar, that brick wall seen from the bedroom. An eccentric dot that does very well, don’t you think?

Be sure to see in detail the little boy’s room, which is wonderful, with its cradle, its teepee, and toys, decorated in a range of grays and dark, unusual for these ages, we love it!
