The houses with a triangle or A-shape are called alpine houses and have this shape in addition to aesthetics, so that snow does not accumulate on the roof. This log cabin/cabin in question is not in the Alps but in Brook Park, Minnesota, USA, and was built in 1978 in a forest near the Snake River.
If on the outside it has the shape and aesthetic of an alpine house, on the inside the aesthetic remains European, halfway between the minimal Scandinavian style and the warm rustic mountain style of Central Europe.
Wood is the main protagonist of this house, natural and painted white or black, it has the function of isolating, dressing, decorating, and giving warmth, it can handle all tasks and only a few fully functional furniture make it compete.
Space is scarce, but it is a perfect size for a recreational home, where the important thing is to find shelter after a day outside, be it winter or summer, ideal for a couple or a small family. The living room is beautiful with a large triangle-shaped glass window and direct access to the porch with a wooden terrace. We imagine ourselves there, with a coffee in hand and the wonderful smell of the pine trees around, you follow us, right?
