Another strong feature of Indian culture, which also reverberates in the decor, is the local cuisine. Indian food, almost always vegetarian, is watered with many seasonings, herbs, and spices, such as curry, cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, among others. The combination of these ingredients is extremely aromatic and when it’s not in the food, it’s in the incense or scented candles. The house breathes and exhales wonderful aromas!

The colors that make up the Indian decor are always warm and cheerful. They vary, but in general, it is always common to find color mixes, such as yellow, orange, red, pink, blue (especially turquoise), in addition to green. Metallic colors are another strong feature of Indian decoration, with emphasis on gold, bronze, and copper.

Low furniture, characteristic of oriental decorations as a whole, is also present in the Indian style. Also common in Indian decoration is the use of hand-carved wooden furniture.
Flowers and fruit baskets are everywhere in Indian decor, whether to bring color, perfume, or an offering to the gods.
The Indian climate is even more complete in the presence of statuettes linked to the country’s religious culture. That is why it is very common for such decorations to embrace statues of Buddha, Shiva, and Ganesha, in addition to other Hindu gods.
The Indian decor is also very cozy, warm, and intimate. Part of this is due to the use of candles in the environment. They can enter the decoration in candlesticks or floating on water in glass containers. If they are scented, even better.
