Adapting a home to a wild and natural landscape is not always easy. However, there are thousands of houses perfectly adapted to nature in which the interior and exterior intermingle creating a unique and special atmosphere. It’s just what happens in this newly designed residence in a Moscow suburb surrounded by forest.
The house, quite striking, has 3,000 square meters that are distributed in an interior with three bedrooms; a swimming pool and a spa area with different baths -turkish, russian, sauna, etc.-, a large living room with huge glass walls and other interesting details.
The architecture of the house was determined by the owner’s desire to preserve the trees that already existed on this site. The semantic center of the space is a living room with two lights, one of which is completely made of glass, and which overlooks the patio. However, the minimalist design with an abundance of glass, metal and concrete was not to the taste of the owners, so the interior designer, chose to create a cozy and warm atmosphere , in the style of a country house. familiar in nature.
In an effort to give warmth and comfort to the cold minimalist volumes, the architect opted for natural wood . Wood paneling, flooring, tobacco wood, Japanese apple and walnut built-in furniture are made by Russian craftsmen to a high standard of quality.
As we can see, basalt was placed on the kitchen and cellar floors, and slate was added to the bedroom walls. In some places, as a reminder of the concrete past, the walls were painted with rough textured gray paint.
Natural stone adds a touch of luxury to interiors through onyx, which appears in different shades and slate. In fact, the color of the onyx gave the idea of decorating the living room wall, to which they decided to put an image of the forest that accompanies the exterior landscape. But this is not ready-made photo wallpapers, but a panel specially created by photographer Valery Bliznyuk, who went to Solovki and took a series of photos of an amazing tree which he then combined and printed on a canvas covered with crackle varnish.
Although the house already had a wealth of textures and materials, the client wanted even more color. For this reason, small colored details were placed, such as the pool with a penetrating blue mosaic, as well as colored chandeliers in the living room and other common rooms.
