8 Fantasy Castles In Canada You Probably Didn’t Know About

When you think about castles and palaces, Canada is probably not the first country that comes to your mind.
Even though it is quite a young country, Canada has had its share of castle building thanks to its membership the Commonwealth of Nations. For a lot of people who are not familiar with Canada’s history, it might come as a a surprise that Canada too is a land of castles but in reality it makes just as much sense for Canada having castles as England having castles.
Most of Canada’s castles originate from the 19th century which now have been converted to national heritage sites or luxury hotels. Another fun fact is that some of these castle hotels have been used by Kings and Queens during their tours of the country.

Welcome to a new collection of 8 Fantasy Castles In Canada You Probably Didn’t Know About. The goal of this collection is to make you a bit more familiar with Canada’s castle-building history as well as provide you images that can inspire you and perhaps give you some new ideas about places worth visiting.
