Pop culture-inspired decor, luxury finishes, and innovative storage solutions define this stylish 71 m² apartment in Moscow, designed for a financier and their family. Led by chief designer Karen Karapetian, Alexander Tischler design company crafted a functional yet visually striking space that seamlessly blends high-end materials with artistic elements.
Functional Layout with Smart Design Solutions
The apartment features a thoughtfully arranged 71 m² floor plan, maximizing space efficiency without compromising on aesthetics. A spacious kitchen-living area (36.6 m²) serves as the heart of the home, featuring three large windows that flood the space with natural light. The Italian brand Cesar crafted the custom kitchen island, which is elegantly framed in porcelain stoneware and topped with textured quartzite countertops. Integrated appliances, including a built-in hood, wine cabinet, and deep storage drawers, ensure seamless functionality.
Artful Details and Bespoke Furnishings
The living area is designed for comfort and versatility. A Milano Bedding sofa provides extra sleeping space for guests, while a wall-mounted metal cabinet enhances storage. The entertainment setup includes a surround-sound audio system with strategically placed speakers. A dedicated lounge area by the window features a MisuraEmme armchair and a vinyl player stand, complemented by an Alexander Tischler-designed wall-mounted bar with ribbed glass fronts.
To add a unique artistic touch, the team commissioned artist Vasiliy Matafonov from Yekaterinburg to paint a custom mural within an arched alcove, incorporating words meaningful to the homeowners.
Elegant and Efficient Storage Solutions
The hallway features a floor-to-ceiling mirror and a mirrored floating console, creating a spacious effect while providing discreet storage. A large built-in wardrobe, finished in decorative plaster and adorned with custom artwork, conceals household essentials and a dedicated luggage compartment. A utility closet discreetly houses a washing machine, dryer, and vacuum storage, optimizing the available space.
Luxurious Bedroom with Custom Features
The bedroom showcases bespoke furnishings by Italian brand MisuraEmme, including a tinted glass wardrobe with vertical lighting and eco-leather-lined accessory drawers. The bed is set against a curved, backlit panel that extends into the loggia, seamlessly integrating the two spaces.
Sophisticated Bathroom with Spa-Like Elements
Originally positioned in the hallway, the bathroom was reconfigured to connect directly to the bedroom, expanding its footprint to 7.3 m². It features a freestanding bathtub and a ceiling-mounted Antonio Lupi showerhead, elegantly integrated into a decorative plaster ceiling. Italian 41zero42 tiles with a palm motif accentuate the space. A custom wall-mounted vanity with integrated lighting and a mirrored storage unit enhances functionality.
Seamless Integration of Art and Functionality
Throughout the apartment, artistic details, high-quality materials, and smart design solutions create a refined living experience. The use of decorative plaster across walls, ceilings, and doors enhances textural depth, while parquet flooring with a deck board pattern adds warmth and continuity between the bedroom and bathroom.
With meticulous attention to detail, Alexander Tischler design company has delivered a sophisticated, space-efficient home that blends contemporary aesthetics with practical urban living.
