That’s why it is not surprising, that they are not only known for scientific researches and contemporary studies. A lot of them can also offer fascinating colleges’ buildings that are designed with the newest tendencies in architecture in mind. Here is the list of the most amazing and futuristic buildings that are simply breathtaking. They are created with a thought on functionality and beauty. Of course, it may be impossible to choose the most beautiful university, but you may try to find one to your liking.

1.Glasgow School of Art, Seona Reid Building

This building is an outstanding mix of traditional and modern architecture that features 5 stores and a lot of luminescent space. It was built around the original building of 1909. The old building was severely damaged by the fire, and that’s why the new project arises. To save at least a reminiscence of an old college was the general goal. And you can see the old architectural style meeting the contemporary one. The project was created designed by Steven Holl Architects in 2014. There are art studios and an exhibition hall. There is also a café for students inside. The inside of the building is very bright and features a lot of white color. It aspires the new futuristic art and resembles contemporary art. 2.Albert Nerken School of Engineering, 41 Cooper Square

This breath-taking building is to find in New York City. It was designed by Thom Mayne and has 9 stores to feature all necessary premises, including the exhibition space and public program auditorium. The construction was finished in 2009. However, firstly the project was viewed as controversial, nowadays it is almost a sight-seeing place. The most magnificent thing about this building is how it fits in the traditional landscape. It looks very dynamic. Another important fact about this project is that it features sustainable construction technologies. It is a quite bold architectural statement that gave this School new popularity among students. And it has also been filmed several times for TV shows.

3.University of California-San Diego, Geisel Library

It is no surprise that the University of California is one of the top 25 campuses in the USA. Just look at this gorgeous Library building that was designed by William Pereira. It is projected in the architectural style of brutalism. Built in 1970, it still looks futuristic. Among buildings for education, this one, with the lots of light and glass, looks simple yet powerful. It has an almost tree-like shape that looks grounded and weightless at the same time.

It was designed by Helmut Jahn, and it is one of the ground-breaking projects of the USA. First of all, the storage space is climate-controlled. The most eye-catching detail of this student center is, of course, the round design of the windows. A simple form of the building is punctuated with them. These windows look as if they were randomly placed on the façade. But the project is highly functional with a great number of rooms.  It is an excellent example of the modernist architecture that remains relevant up till now.
