We have the impression that since last year (and the confinement), the garden has taken on a new dimension. For those who are lucky enough to have an exterior, it is an extension of the refuge that is the house. A bubble of fresh air that breathes our ideas without leaving home. TREND 2021 – A MORE CONVIVIAL GARDEN
Let’s start with a point a little apart from 2020, the idea of user-friendliness. Although the cafe terraces are about to open, the garden is ultimately a perfect place to spend quality time with friends and family. Having a drink in the cafe or the garden is different, of course. But this idea of outdoor conviviality is an interesting point of reflection to take into account when planning your terrace.
EVENINGS WITH FRIENDS AROUND A BRAZIER
The first arrangement that we like very much and that we also find really nice is the brazier to make a campfire in the garden. It is not just a question of a barrel cut in 2 in which one comes to make a fire. We push the idea a little further and we create a universe apart around this point of heat. First, we create a “hard” space, a terrace different from that which is juxtaposed to the house, a little further away. A round terrace for more conviviality. To this, we add armchairs, garden benches around a brazier. All you have to do is light the brazier, bring out some plaids for the more cautious and the guitar!
A LARGE WOODEN TABLE FOR SUNDAY AND SUMMER MEALS
Always in the idea of conviviality but fewer roots than the brazier, there is the large wooden table for meals with family or friends on weekends at noon. A large table with 10 or more place settings. Wood is not afraid of bad weather (when it is treated properly) and over time, it will acquire a patina as if at each meal we left a layer of memories. The large table can also be decorated according to the occasion: tablecloth, flowers, pretty crockery… and so on. The idea is to enjoy the moments spent together.
AN OUTDOOR KITCHEN TO ENJOY THE GARDEN 100%
To echo the outdoor dining, there is also the outdoor kitchen which can be an arrangement that will improve the comfort of your garden. If during the summer you spend all your time in the garden, cooking can be a continuation. It is fitted out in the same spirit as an indoor kitchen. We are looking above all for conviviality. We can therefore imagine a bar area or a cooking area in front of the dining area. Again, the idea is to enjoy moments together even outdoors.
Now let’s move on to the garden in which we rest. We invite you to cultivate this art of napping in the shade of a tree. And even if you only have a terrace or a balcony, nothing prevents you from creating a haven of peace and tranquility to recharge your batteries! No big news for this part.
