Uuscan gardens are famous for centuries for its impressive design. From the gardens of the powerful families, to the gardens of small houses scattered across the Tuscan hills, all tell the story of the beautiful past times. These gardens inspire us for centuries, from the Renaissance to the completely separate style, which we called Tuscan.
There are several elements that are common to all the gardens in the Tuscan style: stone walls and paths, Mediterranean plants, landscaping hedges, pots of baked clay (terra cotta), plants that are planted in pots, pebbles, fountains etc. If the climate allows, it is well to incorporate in the Tuscan style some citrus and herbs in pots. Benches with luxurious design in the Renaissance or a similar style, are integral part of the Tuscan gardens. Benches and garden chairs should be with luxurious design, made of stone, wrought iron, carved wood. Some would say carelessly strewn around the garden, but with care deployed in those parts of the garden where visitors can sit and relax or read a book. Labyrinths are demanding luxury item in this kind of gardens, reserved only for those with large yards.
