To use the advertising slogan that everyone over 30 knows: “she’s small but she has everything a big one”! And you will see, there are a bunch of super inspiring tiny house interiors! What interests me here is that tiny houses can give you ideas if you have a small accommodation.
WHAT IS A TINY HOUSE?
Before embarking on this top 10, we had to define what a tiny house is for those who do not know. Initially, a tiny house is a house that is mounted on a trailer platform. This platform allows the house to be moved, but it is also what will define the weight of the house and its floor space. You can imagine that this “little” detail completely modifies the idea of the classic house. We, therefore, have very small apartments, often super cozy and they are full of good ideas for development.
A TINY WHITE HOUSE
We often think that white is an ideal color when we have a small home and this is especially true for tiny houses which are very small homes. White accentuates the feeling of luminosity and it brings certain neutrality that erases the details (too many details = feeling that the room is smaller than it is in reality).
A PLATFORM TO DELIMIT THE SPACES
There are many ways of delimiting the spaces, the whole point when you have a small home is not to overdo it. And there, the solution found is extra: a platform to delimit the kitchen space from the living room space. As a bonus, the raised ground makes it possible to create additional storage niches.
FLOOR-TO-CEILING WINDOWS, INVITING THE OUTDOORS INSIDE
If you think living in a tiny apartment makes you claustrophobic, think again! What we like about this type of house is that we review the importance of the outdoors in our daily lives.
A VERY PRACTICAL ALCOVE
Previously in this article, we saw the platform to delimit the spaces. This is not the only interior design that can be borrowed from tiny houses! We really like the idea of an alcove, this cozy little corner where you can relax peacefully. Like the platform, the alcove presented allows for additional storage on the bench.
NICHE AND READING IN A SMALL SPACE
This tint house is super cozy thanks to the omnipresence of wood. But that’s not the only thing we like about it. Often tiny houses offer a mezzanine bedroom, not there. The bedroom is elevated but not like a mezzanine, more like a niche, a cocoon of tranquility. We also like the idea of the bookcase which serves as a partition. Being a great reader, it allows you to have storage dedicated to books even when you have little space. It speaks to us well!
A SMALL KITCHEN THAT HAS EVERYTHING A GREAT
Even if we have little space we can know a kitchen worthy of the name… What we like is the worktop which is large enough to cook, the sliding door, or the niche for the microwave. Space is designed so that comfort is not overlooked and when you love to cook, it’s important!
THE BED THAT SERVES AS A SOFA
We like the 2 in 1 uses and this is the case of the bed which can also be used as a sofa. In fact, to be honest, we are not a fan of tiny houses with mezzanines because often there is a lack of space for the sleeping area. To have my head in the ceiling, very little for me. And this is a great alternative. We also like the storage space under the bed which is super practical!
2 MEZZANINE BEDS
So obviously, we fell in love with this tiny house. We said it above, generally, we find that some tiny houses lack height under ceiling but there, it seems sufficient. The window plays an interesting role since the natural light gives a feeling of “bigger” in this very small space.
THE PORTHOLE FOR A LITTLE TRAILER AIR
The porthole, unless you are the owner and you have planned this type of major work in your small apartment, it is not within everyone’s reach. We still find it interesting. It brings a touch of originality without cluttering up. It also gives a little caravan touch which we like. The bench also pleases me a lot. It is very simple but effective. It offers to seat but also storage below.
A TINY HOUSE BATHED IN NATURAL LIGHT
Last inspiration, the natural and bright tiny house. We can clearly see in the image that the width is not very large and yet we do not have the feeling of being in a closet at all. Wood warms up space. The multiple windows give the feeling of being outside without being there. There is even a small office area with a view. We love it!
